What does the Founder Program include?

Founding Members get the Professional plan completely free for 12 months with no credit card required. After 12 months, the plan continues at $45/month. You can downgrade or cancel anytime. The Founder Program has limited spots available.

How do I upgrade my plan?

Accepted Answer

Go to your Billing page and click "Change Plan." Upgrades take effect immediately. If you're on a trial, your first charge happens after the trial ends. If you're on a paid plan, prorated charges may apply for the upgrade.

How do I downgrade my plan?

Go to your Billing page and select a lower tier. Downgrades are scheduled for the end of your current billing period. You keep all your current features until then. Note that if you have content exceeding the lower tier's limits (for example, 20 photos on Basic's 10-photo limit), the extra items will be hidden from customers after the downgrade takes effect.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to your Billing page and click "Cancel Subscription." Your plan stays active until the end of your current billing period. After that, your profile is hidden and you won't receive new inquiries. Your data is preserved, so you can reactivate anytime.

How do I reactivate my subscription after canceling?

Go to your Billing page and click "Reactivate." Your plan resumes and your profile becomes visible again. This is available while your plan is still within its active period.

How do I update my payment method?

Go to your Billing page and click "Update Payment Method." You'll enter your new card details and billing address. Your billing address is used for tax calculation.

Where can I see my invoices and billing history?

On your Billing page, click "Manage Billing" to open the Stripe billing portal. There you can view all past invoices, payment history, and download receipts.

What happens if my payment fails?

Your account goes into a "past due" state. Your profile stays visible during a grace period so you don't lose business while resolving the issue. Update your payment method on the Billing page as soon as possible. If the payment issue isn't resolved, your profile will eventually be hidden.

Will I be charged during my free trial?

No. Your 30-day trial is completely free. You won't be charged until the trial ends. You can cancel anytime during the trial and you won't owe anything.

What are the onboarding steps?

The onboarding wizard has five steps: (1) Services — select your categories, cultural specialties, languages, and write your business description. (2) Location — enter your business address, service radius, and contact info. (3) Showcase — upload at least one portfolio photo. (4) Pricing — set your starting price. (5) Finishing Touches — add your tagline and social links (optional). After that, you'll select a subscription plan.

What do I need to complete onboarding?

At minimum you need: at least one service category, a primary cultural specialty, at least one language, a business description (100+ characters), a business address, a contact email, at least one portfolio photo, and a starting price greater than $0. Tagline, phone, social links, and website are all optional.

How do customers find my profile?

Accepted Answer

Customers find vendors through our search page, culture pages, category pages, and the homepage featured section. They can filter by culture, category, location, language, price range, and rating. Having a complete profile with quality photos, a detailed description, and accurate categories improves your visibility.

Why is my profile not visible to customers?

Accepted Answer

Your profile becomes visible after you complete onboarding and select a subscription plan. If you've done both and your profile still isn't showing, check that your subscription is active on the Billing page. Profiles are hidden when subscriptions are canceled, past due, or paused.

What should I do in my first week on EventAtlas?

Complete your profile with a detailed description (closer to the 2000-character maximum is better than the 100-character minimum), upload your best portfolio photos, create at least one service package, add FAQs that answer common customer questions, and share your profile link on social media using the Promote page.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

If you're joining through our Founder Program, no credit card is required. Founders get the Professional plan free for 12 months. All other plans include a 30-day free trial, which does require a card on file. You won't be charged until the trial ends.

How do I know when I get a new inquiry?

You'll receive an email notification at your registered email address. The inquiry also appears on your Leads page in the dashboard. New inquiries are marked as "pending" until you view them.

What information is included in an inquiry?

Inquiries include the customer's name, email, and optional phone number, along with their event date, event location, estimated guest count, budget range, and a message describing what they need.

How do inquiry statuses work?

Inquiries go through these stages: Pending (new, you haven't opened it yet), Viewed (you've read it), Responded (you've contacted the customer), Booked (the customer hired you), and Archived (closed or no longer active). You update the status manually as you work with the customer.

Do I respond to inquiries through EventAtlas?

Currently, you respond to customers directly using the email address or phone number they provided. After contacting them, mark the inquiry as "Responded" on your Leads page so you can track your pipeline.

How do I request a review from a customer?

Accepted Answer

On your Leads page, inquiries marked as "Booked" show a "Request Review" option once the event date has passed. This sends the customer an invitation to leave a review on your profile.

Who can leave a review?

Only customers who have a booked inquiry with you and whose event date has passed can leave reviews. This ensures reviews come from real clients, not random visitors.

Can I respond to reviews publicly?

Professional and Premium plan vendors can respond publicly to reviews (up to 500 characters per response). Basic plan vendors can view reviews but cannot post public responses. Upgrade to Professional to respond to your reviews.

EventAtlas has a moderation system. If you believe a review violates our guidelines, contact us at hello@tryeventatlas.com. Our team will review it. Moderated reviews are hidden from your public profile and excluded from your rating.

Basic ($25/month) includes: 10 portfolio photos, 5 videos (up to 30 seconds each), 2 service packages, 2 FAQs, basic analytics (profile views and inquiry count), and standard search placement. It's a good starting point to establish your presence.

This is our most popular plan.

What happens if I exceed my tier's limits?

If you have more content than your current plan allows (for example, you downgrade from Professional to Basic with 20 photos), the extra items are hidden from customers but not deleted. You can still see them in your dashboard. Upgrade again and they'll become visible.

Can I switch plans at any time?

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades are scheduled for the end of your current billing period so you keep your features until then. You can change plans from the Billing page.

Is there a contract or commitment?

No. All plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time.

Do all plans include a free trial?

Yes. Every plan includes a 30-day free trial. You need a credit card to start the trial, but you won't be charged until the 30 days are up. Cancel anytime during the trial at no cost.

How do I change my password?

Go to Dashboard, then Settings, then Password & Security. Enter your current password and your new password. Your new password must be at least 8 characters and include uppercase and lowercase letters, a number, and a special character.

What image formats can I upload?

We accept JPEG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC images. For videos, we accept MP4, MOV, and WebM — iPhone videos are converted automatically for web playback when you upload. Maximum file size is 100MB. Video length depends on your plan: up to 30 seconds on Basic, 90 seconds on Professional, and 120 seconds on Premium.

My portfolio images aren't uploading. What should I do?

Check that your file is in a supported format (JPEG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC) and under 100MB. If you're uploading multiple files, try uploading them one at a time. Make sure you haven't exceeded your plan's photo limit. If the problem persists, try a different browser or clear your browser cache.

What's the difference between deactivating and deleting my account?

Deactivating hides your profile temporarily. Your data, portfolio, reviews, and subscription are preserved. Your subscription pauses at the end of the billing period. You can reactivate anytime. Deleting permanently removes your profile, portfolio, packages, reviews, and subscription. This cannot be undone.

How do I deactivate my account?

Go to Dashboard, then Settings, then Deactivate Account. Type DEACTIVATE to confirm. Your profile will be hidden from search, you won't receive new inquiries, and your subscription pauses at the end of the current billing period.

How do I delete my account permanently?

Accepted Answer

Go to Dashboard, then Settings, then Delete Account. Enter your password and type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes all your data and cannot be reversed. Make sure you've saved anything you need before proceeding.

Go to Dashboard, then Settings, then Notifications. You can toggle email notifications for new inquiries, inquiry messages, new reviews, and marketing tips independently.

Can I hide my contact information from the public profile?

Yes. Go to Dashboard, then Settings, then Privacy and toggle off "Show contact info on public profile." Customers will still be able to reach you through the inquiry form, but your email and phone won't be displayed publicly.

How do I edit my business profile?

Go to Dashboard, then Profile. Your profile is organized into sections: Business Information, Service Details, Pricing, Location & Service Area, Contact Info, Business Credentials, and Social Links. Each section saves independently, so you can update one section without affecting others.

What's the difference between description and tagline?

Your description is your main business overview (100-2000 characters). It appears in the About section of your public profile. Your tagline is a short headline (up to 100 characters) that appears right below your business name. Think of the tagline as your elevator pitch and the description as the full story.

How do I change my service categories?

Go to Dashboard, then Profile, then Service Details. You can select up to 3 service categories. These determine which category pages your profile appears on and help customers filter search results.

Go to Dashboard, then Profile, then Service Details. Select your primary culture and optionally up to 2 additional cultures. Your primary culture is the main one shown on your vendor card and determines which culture pages feature your profile.

Go to Dashboard, then Profile, then Location & Service Area. Use the slider to set how far you're willing to travel for events, from 5 to 500 miles. Click "Nationwide" to set it to the maximum 500 miles. Check "Available Internationally" if you ship products or travel abroad for events.

Can I hide my street address from customers?

Yes. Go to Dashboard, then Profile, then Location & Service Area. Toggle off "Display street address." Your city and state will still be shown so customers know your general area, but your exact address will be hidden.

Go to Dashboard, then Profile, then Social Links. You can add your Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and LinkedIn profiles. Enter the full URL for each.

What are business credentials and should I fill them in?

Business Credentials let you indicate whether you're a registered business, what entity type you are, whether you have insurance, and whether you hold relevant licenses or permits. Filling these in builds trust with customers. They appear on your public profile.

Your main dashboard shows profile strength guidance. Key things that improve your profile: a longer, more detailed description, multiple portfolio photos, at least one service package, FAQs, social media links, and business credentials. The more complete your profile, the more professional it looks to customers.
