Our Commitment
Event Atlas is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We strive to continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards across our platform.
Standards
EventAtlas strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
We recognize that some areas of the site may not yet fully meet these standards, and we are actively working to improve accessibility across the Platform.
What We Are Working Toward
- Semantic HTML markup for screen reader compatibility
- Keyboard navigation support across all interactive elements
- Sufficient color contrast ratios for text and UI components
- Descriptive alt text for images
- ARIA labels and accessible names for interactive elements throughout the application
- Responsive design that works across devices and screen sizes
- Visible focus indicators for keyboard users
These represent our ongoing accessibility goals. We are continuously improving coverage in each of these areas and welcome feedback on specific elements that need attention.
Known Limitations
While we work toward full conformance, the following areas currently have accessibility gaps:
- Some vendor-uploaded images may not have descriptive alt text, as this content is provided by vendors.
- Certain third-party embedded content (such as maps) may have limited accessibility features outside of our control.
- Some interactive elements, particularly in dashboard views, may have incomplete accessibility labels. We are actively working to address these gaps.
- Some color combinations, particularly our brand gold color, may not fully meet WCAG AA contrast requirements in all contexts. We are working to improve our color system.
- Modal dialogs and popup overlays may not properly trap keyboard focus or announce themselves to screen readers in all cases.
- Some interactive controls, particularly in portfolio management and media editing, rely on mouse hover and may not be fully accessible via keyboard alone.
- A skip-to-content navigation link is not yet implemented.
- Some form inputs use placeholder text as labels rather than persistent visible labels.
- Screen reader announcements for dynamically loaded content (such as search results and notifications) may be incomplete.
We are actively working to address these limitations.
