Terms of Service

Last updated: March 24, 2026

Welcome to Event Atlas. By accessing or using tryeventatlas.com (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Platform Description

Event Atlas is a marketplace that connects customers planning cultural celebrations (such as Nigerian weddings, quinceañeras, bar mitzvahs, and other cultural events) with vendors who specialize in those traditions. The Platform allows customers to search for vendors, view profiles and portfolios, read reviews, and send inquiries. Vendors can create profiles, showcase their work, receive inquiries, and manage their business presence.

2. Important Disclaimer

Event Atlas facilitates connections between customers and vendors. We are NOT a party to any transaction, contract, or agreement between a customer and a vendor. We do not guarantee the quality of any vendor's services, the accuracy of their profile information, or the outcome of any engagement. All arrangements, payments, and service delivery happen directly between customers and vendors, outside of the Event Atlas platform.

Event Atlas provides an inquiry system that allows customers to contact vendors through the Platform. When a customer submits an inquiry, the vendor receives a notification email containing the inquiry details. Vendors respond directly to customers via email or phone — Event Atlas does not provide in-platform messaging. Ongoing communication, negotiations, and booking arrangements occur directly between customers and vendors outside the Platform. Event Atlas is not responsible for the content of communications between users.

3. Account Creation & Responsibilities

To use certain features you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Keep your login credentials secure and not share them
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on Event Atlas.

4. Vendor Obligations

If you register as a vendor on Event Atlas, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful business information, including services offered, pricing, and location
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Only upload content (photos, videos, descriptions) that you have the right to use
  • Not misrepresent your cultural expertise, experience, or qualifications
  • Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws governing your business
  • Maintain appropriate business licenses and insurance as required by your jurisdiction

5. Vendor Credentials Disclaimer

Vendor profiles on Event Atlas may display business credentials such as insurance certificates, business registrations, and professional licenses. These credentials are self-reported by vendors and are NOT verified by Event Atlas. Event Atlas does not independently confirm the accuracy, validity, or current status of any credential displayed on a vendor profile. Customers who consider credentials important when selecting a vendor should independently verify those credentials before entering into any agreement.

6. Customer Obligations

If you use Event Atlas as a customer, you agree to:

  • Submit genuine inquiries for events you are actually planning
  • Provide accurate event details in your inquiries
  • Communicate respectfully with vendors
  • Not use the Platform to spam vendors or send fraudulent requests

7. Content Ownership & License

Vendors retain ownership of all content they upload (photos, videos, descriptions, etc.). By uploading content to Event Atlas, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service.

For vendor content (profile information, portfolio media, package details): this license ends when you remove the content or delete your account.

For customer reviews: because reviews serve the broader community of users, the license for review content continues after account deletion. If you delete your account, your reviews will be anonymized (displayed as “Former Customer”) but the review text, ratings, and any uploaded photos remain visible on the Platform.

8. Reviews

Reviews may only be submitted by customers who have booked and completed services with a vendor through the Platform. Each customer may submit one review per vendor.

Reviews include an overall rating, optional subcategory ratings, written text, and optional photos. Vendors on qualifying subscription plans may post a public response to reviews on their profile.

Reviews must reflect genuine experiences. You may not post reviews for services you did not receive, post reviews for your own business, or post reviews in exchange for compensation.

Event Atlas reserves the right to moderate, hide, or remove reviews and vendor responses that violate these Terms or our content policies, without prior notice. Moderation decisions are at our sole discretion.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
  • Post discriminatory, harassing, or threatening content
  • Attempt to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Platform in bulk
  • Interfere with the Platform's operation or security
  • Impersonate another person or business
  • Post misleading or deceptive information
  • Use the Platform to distribute spam or unsolicited messages

10. Account Deactivation & Deletion

Account Deactivation

You may temporarily deactivate your vendor account from your dashboard settings. Deactivation hides your profile from public view and pauses your subscription billing. Your data is preserved and you may reactivate at any time. A 30-day cooldown period applies between deactivation cycles. For Founder Program participants, the 12-month founder period continues to elapse during deactivation.

Account Deletion

You may permanently delete your account from your dashboard settings or by contacting us at legal@tryeventatlas.com. Account deletion is irreversible.

Account deletion removes your profile, personal data, subscription, and uploaded files (including portfolio images, avatar, and review photos on a best-effort basis). For customers: reviews you have written will be anonymized — your name is replaced with “Former Customer” and the review is no longer linked to your identity. Review text, ratings, and photos remain visible to preserve review integrity for other users. For vendors: your vendor profile, portfolio, packages, reviews on your profile, and all associated vendor data are permanently deleted.

Some anonymized records (such as aggregate analytics and administrative logs) may be retained for platform integrity and legal compliance. Newsletter subscriptions are managed independently and are not affected by account deletion — you can unsubscribe at any time. Third-party services we use (such as our payment processor) may retain data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Platform Rights

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or remain inactive for an extended period. Event Atlas reserves the right to hide or remove vendor profiles, reviews, or other user content that violates these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling after deletion.

11. Subscriptions & Payments

Vendor access to the Platform requires a paid subscription. Event Atlas offers three monthly subscription tiers:

  • Basic — $25/month
  • Professional — $45/month
  • Premium — $75/month

All new vendor subscriptions include a 30-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start a trial; your card will not be charged until the trial period ends. You may cancel at any time during or after the trial. Subscriptions are billed monthly on a recurring basis. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

Plan upgrades take effect immediately. Plan downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain your current plan's features until then. Downgrades are not available during the free trial period.

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Event Atlas does not store credit card numbers or full payment method details. Stripe secures and processes all payment information on our behalf.

Founder Program

Event Atlas offers a limited Founder Program for early vendors. The following terms apply to Founder Program participants:

  • The Founder Program is limited to the first 200 vendors. Once all slots are claimed, the program closes.
  • Founders receive 12 months of the Professional plan at no cost. No payment method is required during this period.
  • After the 12-month founder period ends, the subscription automatically converts to a standard paid Professional plan at the then-current monthly rate. Founders will be notified before conversion.
  • Founder status is non-transferable and applies only to the original account holder.
  • Event Atlas reserves the right to modify, limit, or end the Founder Program at any time. Changes will not affect founder benefits already in effect for current participants.

12. Referral Program

Event Atlas offers a referral program that allows active vendors to earn credits by referring other vendors to the Platform. Key terms:

  • Each vendor receives a unique referral code that can be shared with prospective vendors.
  • When a referred vendor joins using your referral code and makes their first paid invoice on a qualifying subscription, you receive a credit equal to one month of your current subscription price.
  • Credits are applied as Stripe account balance credits and automatically reduce your next invoice.
  • Referral credit is only awarded after the referred vendor's first payment is successfully processed. Credits are not awarded during trial periods.
  • Self-referrals and fraudulent referrals are prohibited and will result in forfeiture of credits and may result in account suspension.
  • Referred vendors must complete signup within 7 days of account creation for the referral to be eligible. Pending referrals that do not result in a paid subscription within 90 days are automatically expired.
  • Event Atlas reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the referral program at any time.

13. Copyright

If you believe content on Event Atlas infringes your copyright, please contact us at legal@tryeventatlas.com with: a description of the copyrighted work, the URL of the allegedly infringing content, your contact information, and a statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized. Event Atlas will review reports and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable law.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Event Atlas and its affiliates, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to:

  • Disputes between customers and vendors
  • Quality of vendor services
  • Losses resulting from reliance on information on the Platform
  • Unauthorized access to your account
  • Interruptions to Platform availability

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Event Atlas in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to resolve disputes individually and not as part of a class action.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Event Atlas from claims, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

17. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
